Featuring special guest Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds
Ahead of the release of Johnny Mathis Sings The Great New American Songbook on Sept. 29, the GRAMMY Museum welcomes Johnny Mathis, Clive Davis, and very special guest Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds for an intimate conversation and exclusive listening session to songs off the forthcoming album.
Co-produced by 11-time GRAMMY winner Babyface and five-time GRAMMY winner Davis, Johnny Mathis’ new album features the legendary singer’s personal takes on contemporary hit songs by artists such as Pharrell Williams, Adele, Bruno Mars, and others. The program will be hosted by GRAMMY Museum Executive Director Scott Goldman in the Clive Davis Theater.
To date, Johnny Mathis has had three songs inducted into the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame, achieved 50 hits on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary Chart, and ranks as the all-time No. 6 album artist in the history of Billboard’s pop album charts. He has received five GRAMMY nominations, and in 2003 he was given the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy.
