Spotlight: Reik
Join us as we welcome Latin GRAMMY Award-winning pop group Reik to the Clive Davis Theater. Made up by three young musicians, Jesus Navarro (vocals), Julio Ramirez (acoustic guitar) and Gilberto “Bibi” Marin (electric guitar), Reik’s first big breakthrough in the music scene came in 2005 with their debut single Yo Quisiera, which gave way for the release of their self-titled album to become a hit soon after. Powerful and energetic, Reik continues to grow musically through touring and songwriter . Without losing their essence, they have continued to evolve their sound as evidenced on their latest release, Peligro. Hear Reik in discussion about their relentless tour schedule, their evolution as a group and how they manage to continuously explore new musical directions. After the interview, moderated by Leila Cobo, Author and Billboard Magazine Executive Director of Content and Programming for Latin Music and Entertainment, Reik will take audience questions and will perform a selection of songs.
