This summer, Rolling Stone named Bob Dylan the greatest songwriter of all time. In a panel discussion at the GRAMMY Museum’s Clive Davis Theater, GRAMMY-winning singer/songwriter Lucinda Williams, GRAMMY-winning songwriter/producer Dan Wilson and GRAMMY Museum Executive Director Bob Santelli will analyze some of Dylan’s most memorable songs, while aiming to answer the question: Is Bob Dylan our greatest songwriter? The discussion will be moderated by Jon Bream, longtime Minneapolis Star Tribune music critic and author of the new book, Dylan: Disc by Disc, which features debates about each of Dylan’s 36 studio albums. The commentators featured in the book include such musical figures as Questlove of the Roots, Ric Ocasek of the Cars, Suzanne Vega, Rodney Crowell, Jason Isbell, Joe Henry, and Tony Glover. Following the discussion, Bream will sign copies of Dylan: Disc by Disc. This program is free. GRAMMY Museum members receive priority seating. Doors open at 7 p.m. To RSVP, email programs@grammymuseum.org.
