The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to welcome Kimberly Stuckwisch and Angel Olsen for a screening of the new film, Big Time: A Film By Kimberly Stuckwisch and Angel Olsen, followed by an intimate conversation discussing the film, accompanying album, and the making of both. The event will also include a live solo performance from Angel Olsen featuring new songs from the album.
Big Time (the film), presented by Amazon Music, brings the album narrative to the screen and celebrates the release of Angel’s new album of the same name, out June 3rd on Jagjaguwar.
Angel Olsen is a songwriter, musician, performer and director of music videos. Her eighth full-length album, Big Time, will be out this June via Jagjaguwar. A short film of the same name, co-written by Olsen, will coincide with this release. Olsen has performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Austin City Limits TV, and has been profiled in The New York Times Magazine, Rolling Stone, and Pitchfork, to name a few. Her albums are regularly regarded as some of the highest lauded albums each year of their release. Olsen has collaborated with artists including Mark Ronson, Sharon Van Etten, Cass McCombs, Hamilton Leithauser, Marissa Nadler, Jim James, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Madi Diaz, and more. Olsen currently lives in Asheville, NC.
Be sure to catch Angel Olsen this summer on the Wild Hearts Tour along with Sharon Van Etten and Julien Baker – July 28 and 29 at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles.
